Let’s Talk Racism Conference
Registration is Now Open!
Please join us for the 9th Annual Let’s Talk Racism Conference! Our theme this year is Making Space for Today’s Voices: The Student Movement. This one-day event will occur Saturday, March 22nd from 9:00am - 4:00pm , in Greensboro at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University.
The purpose of this event is to give K-12 educators and pre-service teachers an opportunity to engage in sessions centered on the impact of systemic racism and ways of dismantling it in our schools. Educators will earn continuing education credits (CEUs) for their participation. While educators are the target audience, we welcome all community members to attend.
We are switching things up again this year by having a keynote panel of student voices, a promise we made last year. The planning committee is thrilled to announce Bellen Woodard as our panel feature! Bellen is the 13-year-old successful entrepreneur, CEO, & acclaimed author who launched Bellen’s More than Peach Project at just 8 years old in 2019. She created More than Peach crayons, her brand, & company after changing the language and perception around skin color in her own classroom and community. Bellen will be joined on the panel by local student activists!
The Let's Talk Racism Conference is co-hosted by an Education Collaborative composed of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University’s College of Education, North Carolina Central University's School of Education, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, and we are (working to extend anti-racist education, Inc).
